Students, from almost thirty different countries, on ISDE’s full time on-site International Sports Law programme attended Sports Law Week at the University of Cambridge from April 7 to 14.
For the second consecutive, students on this masters programme had the opportunity to not only visit the premises of Wolfson College, where the talks were given, but to also attend lectures by the leading professionals in international sports law.

For the second consecutive, students on this masters programme had the opportunity to not only visit the premises of Wolfson College, where the talks were given, but to also attend lectures by the leading professionals in international sports law.
Thanks to this initiative, students were privy to the advice of Scotland Yard’s head of operations in London, Kevin O’ Leary, on the Olympic Games last year, and were able to attend talks by University of Nottingham professor, Simon Boyes, and his colleague at Queens University in Belfast on doping, corruption and violence in the world of sport.
In addition, theoretical classes that week were supplemented by a visit to iconic institutions of London’s sports world such as Upton Park and the Metropolitan Police, the law enforcement body responsible for surveillance for West Ham United FC.
The Masters in International Sports Law is an international on-site programme, taught entirely in English, which aims to train professionals to specialise in sports law. The programme was introduced in response to market demand for professionals specialised in an area that is so important in today’s world.
