Great success of the biography of Antonio Garrigues, which is among the bestsellers

The renowned legal journalists Borja Martínez-Echevarría Castillo and Carlos García-León presented at the Rafael del Pino Foundation in Madrid, the biography of one of the most iconic characters of Spanish law: Antonio Garrigues Walker. The act sparked an unusual expectation and was attended by the managing partners of major firms of national and international lawyers, as well as personalities from the political and social life of the country.
Undoubtedly, it is a successful writ, which comes at a very opportune time and was expectantly awaited throughout the legal sector. An expectation that is being reflected in sales of the book, which is having a great reception and in less than a week and has been placed among the country’s best-selling biographies and works of leading legal topics.
The work of Borja Martínez-Echevarría Castillo and Carlos García-León has been published by Ediciones Península, seal of the Planeta Group in its Footprints collection. Antonio Garrigues Walker is entitled and has the subtitle “Key Witness half century of our history”. The foreword is written by actress Nuria Espert, personal friend of the biographee.
The presentation, in the form of discussion was masterfully conducted by renowned journalist Carlos Herrera of Onda Cero, and Antonio Garrigues, honorary president of the largest law firm in Europe.
 
 
In the discussion they talked about the history of Garrigues, political experiences and the playwright facet of the honoree, a few days ago took all the covers of the media with his announcement of withdrawal from active life in the law firm, passing to the presidency of honor. Garrigues Walker explained that from now on will be devoted to thinking and writing. Not surprisingly, he has published 50 plays, and now wants to get to work on a large play.
The authors of the work, Borja Martínez-Echevarría Castillo and Carlos García-León, who were accompanied by their wives María and Ana, recalled with affection, among other anecdotes, biography talks on Saturday mornings while having churros and remembered the thousand and one experiences of Garrigues Walker throughout his long professional and political, social and artistic life.
Borja Martínez-Echevarría’s is partner in Pérez Castillo + Partners, a firm that offers consulting and training for law firms. A Law Graduate, he has spent his professional career for ten years in the world of communication, in Expansion TV and in the newspaper Expansion, which was part of the founding team of the specialized supplement Expansion Legal. He has won the III Novel Prize of Attorneys with the book The Firm, and is a professor at the High Institute of Law and Economics, ISDE.
Carlos García-León, meanwhile, has a Degree in Journalism and Communication Studies and is a Graduate in Digital Marketing. He has developed his career in relevant media companies such as Radio Voz, Onda Cero, Llorente & Cuenca, Vocento Group Editorial Unit, where he is now an Expansion journalist, specializing in the legal sector. He co-founded Expansion Legal Supplement, created the legal channel Expansion.com and was collaborator of the El Mundo Supplement Markets and Lawyers program in Gestiona Radio.
