International Legal Practice
This course will focus on Westphalian states, changes in international law, globalization, transnational practice in Europe (European rights of establishment), multijurisdictional practices in the USA, transnational practice in the world (GATS-WTO), comparative analysis of common law and civil law approaches in procedural and arbitration laws in the United States and the European Union and the future of the profession including a discussion of the American Bar Association’s Commission on the Future 2002 and the International Bar Association’s Commission 2020.
