Program Overview
St. Johns University and ISDE (Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía) will offer five intensive teaching courses from July 5, 2010 to August, 6, 2010 in Barcelona, Spain. The program will be held at the Palau de les Heures, in Barcelona, Spain.
American and European law students and law practitioners will have the opportunity to participate in a global learning experience. All five courses will be taught in English by leading American and European authorities from the academia and profession.
The Barcelona Summer Program is open to U.S. Law Students who have completed at least one year of law studies; Foreign Law Students who are studying in their home country to pursue a degree in Law; Graduates of any Law School who are interested in acquiring knowledge and experience in transnational law topics.
At the end of the 2010 Barcelona Summer Program, all the students will receive credits from St. John’s University and ISDE. Students will pay tuition to their respective institutions.
In addition, the Barcelona Summer Program will offer visits to Spanish top legal institutions and Law Firms.
Courses offered are:
- Globalization of the Legal Profession,
- Law of the European Union Seminar;
- International and Comparative Sports Law
- Nuremberg and Its Legacies in History and Law
- Resolving International Disputes
Some of the class offered features a general course and a set of specialized lectures focused on a topical theme.
