Jeffrey Mishkin, Partner of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in the New York office, executive vice president and chief legal officer of the National Basketball Association (NBA) for seven years, has shared with the students of the Master in International Sports Law programme, the knowledge and professional experience that he has gained over the past 35 years participating in every major legal decision that has affected the NBA.

Over a couple of days of intensive work, ISDE students had the opportunity to study in depth, general matters related to the Sports legal system in U.S., such as Labor Unions in U.S. Professional Sports, Federal Antitrust Law, Gambling in U.S. Sports… At the same time, the students were able to discuss about one of the ‘hottest’ subjects on U.S. sports these days, the ‘Lockout’ on the National Football League (NFL) and on the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Once again, Jeffrey Mishkin, with his vast knowledge in the field, delighted the students of the Master in International Sports Law programme, run by ISDE.
