ISDE continues to participate in major international Sports Law events. True to its tradition, ISDE (Higher Institute of Law and Economics) attended the 4th CAS/TAS conference on International Sports Law in Lausanne, Switzerland, on September 7th and 8th, where it was represented by Ms Montserrat Cordero, the Director of Admissions in Madrid. The seminar, which was organised by the CAS/TAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport) and SAV/FSA (the Swiss Bar Association), was held at the iconic Hotel Beau-Rivage Palace.

Various matters of major importance in the field of sport were addressed at the conference, such as “The Autonomy of Sports Organisations” and a “Review of the CAS jurisprudence”, which were analysed by prominent figures from the world of international sports law like Mr  Michelle Bernasconi and Mr Antonio Rigozzi, both professors at ISDE.

The event was also attended by many alumni of ISDE’S full-time LL.M. in International Sports Law programme, who are now working in different international organisations and companies, in addition to students on the Global Executive Master in International Sports Law, designed for professionals with experience in sports law seeking to broaden their knowledge of the field.  Most of these students are currently working in federations and organisations like FIFA or in different football or sports clubs.

All of the above once again demonstrates ISDE’s leadership in the field of sports law education and in the creation of networks of highly interesting and strong contacts.
